Valentine’s day in Prague: 10 places to book in advance

Share:

Definitely, the best idea for Valentine’s Day in Prague is our Prague in a box journey. But, seriously speaking, any walk around the city ends in a restaurant, cafe or any other (more or less) romantic place with food and drink, right? So here is the list of our favorite places in Prague for romantic dinner, lunch or break to celebrate this special day. Happy Valentine’s day!

We kindly recommend you to plan your romantic evening before the February 14, because many good places in Prague will be booked and full of people.

Coffee & desert

La Bohème Café

Sázavská 2031/32, Praha 2 – Vinohrady, opening hours 8:00 – 20:00

The winner of the 2014 Czech Bar Awards in the Best Design bar category. Dreamy interior, comfy armchairs, atmosphere of an old library and excellent coffee.

Kavarna Styl&Interier

Vodičkova 35, Praha 1, opening hours 9.30 – 21.00 (20.00 on Sunday)

If someone won’t show you the place, you will hardly find it. Very cozy and vintage-styled cafe in the heart of the city. Vintage-lovers will love it definitely. And dessert-lovers also.

Terasa U Prince

Staroměstské nám. 29, Praha 1 – Staré Město, opening hours 11:00 – 23:00

Awesome open air view from the roof terrace. Do not be afraid of getting cold – the place has gas heaters. Note romantic table for two right in the corner of the terrace. Try Kir Royal, coffee and hot wine are also good. But food is very comme ci comme ça.

Romantic dinner

Bruxx

Náměstí Míru 9, Praha 2, opening hours 11:00-0:00/1:00

Stylish Belgian-style restaurant. Art deco style, fancyplace with well-trained personnel. Some people may find it a bit noisy, but anyway it is probably one of the best place to eat mussels and oysters in Prague. And do not forget about the waffles!

Restaurant MATYLDA

Masarykovo nábř., Praha 1, opening hours to 23:00

An exemplary Italian restaurant on the boat, also serving some of the best dishes from the authentic Czech cuisine. Great view on river Vltava, friendly stuff speaking rather good English, comfortable tables. Watch the miracle machine that lifts up all dishes on the ropes from the kitchen, located on the lower level!

Luka Lu

Újezd 402/33, Praha – Malá Strana, opening hours 11:00-0:00

The most bright and joyful restaurant in Prague. There are 4 rooms, a winter garden, brightly coloured furniture, boats hanging from the walls, a glass ceiling and an extremely cosy garden. It’s a Balkan restaurant, serving Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian and Italian cuisine – grilled meat, fish, and seafood.

U Modré Kachničky

Michalská 434/16 or Nebovidská 460/6, opening hours 11:30-23:30

A gorgeous Czech restaurant serving mainly duck dishes. Fabulous and elegant place with retro design and delicious food.

Drink & snack

Vinárna Bokovka

Dlouhá 729/37,  Praha 1 – Staré Město, opening hours 15:00–1:00

Wooden barrels, garlands and almost Venetian courtyard + good selection of Czech and international wines.

Prosekárna

Slezská 48, Praha 2, opening hours 10:00-22:00

Very cozy little prosecco bar, stylish interior and helpful staff. Try to book a table near the fireplace!

Champagneria

Průchodní 4, Praha 1 – Staré Město, opening hours 16:00–0:00

A sweet hidden place in the city centre. Better book table on the second floor, there is a special room with 2 sofas, creating a feeling of being home, not in a public place :)

We kindly remind you: Better plan your romantic evening before the 14th of February, because all places will be booked and full of people.
